You can find the meeting ID on your email invite. Meeting ID is long enough to prevent someone from guessing it by randomly typing a number to connect to the meeting.

For additional security you will also need to fill in an alphanumeric meeting passcode generated by the system to connect to the meeting. Apart from that, be sure to use security features such as a meeting lobby to send uninvited guests to the lobby, meeting do not forward, meeting options, meeting lock and meeting policies. The security features in Teams function the same way irrespective of how participants connect to the meeting. See the specific hardware requirements for meeting using the Teams app.

With Teams, you can host meetings with people inside and outside your organization. When you schedule a meeting in Teams or Microsoft Outlook using the desktop app or on the web, you can send the unique meeting ID or meeting link to anyone. When meeting with external participants, a meeting lobby can help add increased security to limit uninvited guests. The default view when you join a meeting shows up to nine other people on your screen at the same time.
